Underwater Photographer

Ekrem Parmaksız is a underwater documentary photographer and photojournalist specializing in marine wildlife and underwater environments. Since 2007 he has been a contract photographer on a wide range of subjects and stories. He has been taking photographs since he was 12 years old and has worked as a part time underwater photographer since then.
Ekrem’s work has also been featured in publications such as Diver magazine, Sports Illustrated, sportdiver, BBC Wildlife. He is the author of articles including famous magazines and newspapers.
He loves exploring the underwater world, spends a lot of time and energy creating images. His photos show his own point of view in places like Malaysia, south africa, Red sea, Philippines,etc.
With a career background in architecture and design, he spends his spare time taking photos or working on ocean conservation initiatives that support that end. His primary objectives are centred around underwater exploration projects..
He has been using a Sony A7II camera in a Nauticam Housing with Sony-Zeiss 16-35 mm lens with a N120 dome and 2 Inon Z330 strobes.
